What to Know Before you Go

🎉 GAME DAY NEED-TO-KNOWS! ⚾

Hippo fans, let's get ready for a great season! Here’s everything you need to know before you head to the park.

🚗 PARKING
  • FREE parking in the Huntersville Athletic Park lot out front of the ballpark (Lot 1), the first overflow lot (Lot 2), and and the second overflow lot (Lot 3).
  • The main parking lot (Lot 1) is at Huntersville Athletic Park at 11720 Verhoeff Dr, Huntersville, NC. If you are a season ticket holder, national anthem singer, or otherwise noted special guest, your reserved parking spots can be found in this lot. There are spots open to general ticket holders in this lot, but spots are limited. Beyond the stated guests, all other parking is first come, first served, please plan accordingly.
  • The 1st overflow lot (Lot 2) is at the Huntersville Recreation Center at 11836 Verhoeff Dr, Huntersville, NC 28078. There is access to the park from this lot, please follow the signs and direction to the fields, for point of reference walk towards the Rec center and you will see an attendant or sign. 
  • The 2nd overflow lot (Lot 3) is at the Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) Merancas Campus at 11930 Verhoeff Dr. Again, there is access from the 2nd overflow lot to the 1st overflow lot, and then you follow those signs to the field.
  • Handicap parking available in all three lots. There are pathways that are wheelchair accessible in Lot 1 and 2. The park is wheelchair accessible and designated spots at the park for those in a wheelchair. The bathrooms by the concession stand also have a handicap stall
  • Our Parking Crew will be on-site to direct traffic and help you find a spot
  • Arrive early to avoid the 6:30 PM rush!

🕓 GATE Times
  • Monday thru Saturday
    • Gates open at 6:00 PM* / First pitch at 7:00 PM
  • Sunday - Gates open at 5:00PM / First Pitch at 6:00 PM
  • Exceptions for certain theme nights with pre-game events
💳 NO CASH ACCEPTED
  • All purchases (tickets, food, merch) are card or mobile pay only, with the exception of purchasing raffle tickets and the D-Bat Pitching area.

🌭 TWO CONCESSION AREAS
  • Check out our Main Concession Stand and Food Tent for awesome eats and ice-cold drinks featuring some of your favorite local vendors like Chick-Fil-La, Clean Juice, Apostle Q, and more!
  • Vendors may vary by night. 
  • Clean Juice is organic and allergy friendly.
  • No outside food/ drink permitted within Hippos park area.
🎟️ TICKETS & ENTRY
  • Buy online or at the gate (card only)
  • Hand stamps required for re-entry
🛍️ MERCH TENT
  • Gear up at the HarborHippos merch tent near the field
  • Hats, tees, and all the hippo swag you can handle!
